Protest
While in Madrid last month I ended up in the midst of a protest march through the city centre. I noticed a large number of people wearing identical green t-shirts and decided to follow them.
A large group of people was gathering near the Prado Museum. After asking someone about it I learned that they were protesting against educational cuts being implemented by the local government.

Another title doing exactly what it says on the tin…

Church of San Jerónimo el Real, Madrid.
I loved the light here – the colours were the result of sunlight coming in from a stained glass window behind me.

This is (I think) Calle de Preciados, off Puerta del Sol in central Madrid. The city really comes alive in the evening.
Madrid
I finally got to do a bit of travelling and spent a few days in Madrid recently. The trip was too short, I was only getting to know the place when I had to head home…
Anyway, some pics:
Plaza de Canalejas is a busy crossroads in the city centre.
Atocha Station – its not usual to see such greenery in a railway station!
Retiro Park – a peaceful if busy spot amongst the bustle of the city.
